HELPING YOU WITH YOUR HORSE

Helping you with your horse . . .

Templeton Finn offers coaching to a limited number of horse owners who are keen to make dramatic progress and achieve remarkable results with their horses.

We apply the same cutting edge psychological techniques to advancing your horsemanship as we apply to your profession.

Many horse owners are now aware of "Natural Horsemanship" including Parelli, Monty Roberts, etc, or of positive reinforcement techniques like clicker training. These techniques can be extremely powerful but sometimes it can seem as if your horse hasn't read the book!

Is it about me or my horse?

It may have dawned on you that this is much more about you than it is about your horse. You need to be able to communicate well, control your emotions, focus on the right things, respond to feedback, break things down into small steps, etc. (These are the same things you need to be able to do to be a success professionally). You also need to maintain your motivation when things aren't going according to plan. This is quite a tall order and we can help you with it.

When you're with your horse, do you find ever find yourself talking to yourself in a critical way or making pictures of doom in your head? Most people do, but it doesn't help you! The horse can sense these things, and why should he follow your lead if this is what's going on in your head? NLP and coaching techiques enable you to break these negative patterns, giving you better results and more fun with your horse.

Can it help with work too?

If you approach your horse with an open mind you will also find he has a lot to teach you which will help you at work. We explore this in our horse sessions . . .

Who's eligible for these sessions?

These sessions are available to people who are committed to understanding the horse's point of view and wish to develop themselves and build a respectful relationship with their horse. We are not interested in people who just want their horses "trained".

We help you learn from your horse instead of just expecting him to learn from you. You'll find the things you learn also help you in other areas of your life.
