Maybe you're not fully committed to the things you should be doing?
QI know what I should do with my business - I just don't have time, so how can coaching help?
AHave you worked out what you really want to do? Maybe you're not fully committed to the things you think you "should" be doing and that's part of the reason you can't seem to find time for them. Maybe they don't inspire you or are not in line with your business values. Find out by working through our Coaching E-Book.
Also, coaching can free up time because you learn to focus on what you want to do, say no, delegate more effectively and procrastinate less.
QHow can we tell if we are getting a return on our investment in coaching?
AThis is very important! For ideas on how to do this, see:

QWe've tried team building in our firm but it didn't work that well. Can coaching help?
AIf each member of a team is coached, this can have a significant positive effect.
Also we would highly recommend a team day where we discover the values of each team member around work (in the presence of the other team members) and then formulate agreed shared values. See our Coaching E-Book for more information.
Alternatively, as a quick fix, if the team members learn a bit of NLP and are sufficiently open minded to put it into practice, this can overcome a lot of the worst communication problems.
However executive coaching is now used by more than 60% of corporate executives of US Fortune 500 companies.
QIs coaching a bit "fluffy"?
AIt's true to say that the results cannot always be measured financially. However executive coaching is now used by more than 60% of corporate executives of US Fortune 500 companies. A survey by Manchester Consulting of their Fortune 1000 clients found the return on investment for coaching services over a 6-12 month period to be six times the coaching investment.

QIs coaching different from business consulting?
AUsually you hire a business consultant when you want someone to come up with specific recommendations and tell you what to do. If you need technical information and advice, and you need it straight away so that you can move forward, then a consultant may be the best answer.
Coaches can and do address specific business concerns but they also take into account your personal desires, needs, and goals. A coach helps you develop so you can make better, more congruent decisions for yourself. If you want to develop new ways of thinking and being so that you can consistently work at a higher level in your life and in your career or business, then coaching is likely to be the better solution.

QCan coaching help us attract more clients?
ACoaching is a very good way for people to develop the softer skills such as building rapport with clients, and to overcome fears about networking and giving presentations. So, yes it can help attract and keep clients.
